Productivity is measured per colony(honey and other products) in a a prticular hive over a period of one year.2-3harvests per year could give an output of 18-20 kgs in  a langstroth and 20-25 in a KTBH.depending on the colony's strength and bee forage availability.vis a vis apiary management practices.

Check on the  Foraging Activity – the daily indicator.

. Harvest record – Write date and kg honey harvested per hive. Over 1 year you’ll know which hives to split and which to requeen.

Productivity of a bee colony is measured by Honey Production, Brood Area, Adult Bee Population, Pollen and Nectar Stores, Colony Growth Rate, Swarming and Supersedure Behavior.

Standard hive management by tracking the strength of the colony(the queen adult and the brood population)

The Age of the queen will also determine the productivity.

Ensure proper management  and forage provision to ensure an activiness of colony to ensure good kgs of honey per hive

You can measure productvity of a bee colony by;

Looking at the no. of bees.

By sampling the population of workers bees in the colonies

Depends on the availability of forage cover and bee plants around the apiary

By tracking key indicators of their physical output, population health, and work rate.

One can assess how active the Colony is compared to other colonies...

An active Colony will always have a higher production capacity

By checking the strength of the colony.If strong high productivity when weak low productivity

It is dependent on the amount of honey harvested from the beehives.

Depends on how many hives are colonised and active
